About your Instructors:

Malerie (she/her)

An afro + white American: Herbalist | Farmer | Naturalist | Native Plant Enthusiast | Educator | Gemini Sun – Taurus Moon – Leo Rising

Malerie aims to inspire. To cultivate self-love. To educate and empower individuals to take basic healthcare into their own hands. To build relationship between humans and the plants growing around them. And to encourage positive change through the decolonization of our healthcare and education systems.  Her work honors her ancestors who have tended land for generations as farmers and laborers as well as the magic that dwells in the foothills of the Eastern Cascade mountains where she currently lives. Malerie finds inspiration through days spent in old growth forests with her dog, Sonny-boy and nights eating homecooked meals with good friends.  She believes that food is the best medicine.

Malerie found holistic herbalism after suffering for many years from chronic migraines. She carries a degree in sustainable and organic agriculture and a naturalist certification from Wenatchee Valley College, studied ethical wildcrafting and medicine making with Suzanne Jordan of Cedar Mountain Herb School, received her clinical certification from Sajah Popham at School of Evolutionary Herbalism, and is continually training in energetic herbalism and clinical skills with Karyn Sanders and Sarah Holmes of the Blue Otter School, as well as practicing connection to the unseeable spirit realm with Amber Tande and the mystic living school.

Malerie comes from a long line of farmers and humans who navigate this world through spirit, her work is a blend of ancestral remembrance and scientific training.

 Brittany

Brittany’s mission in being a student of herbalism is rooted in accessibility. She believes that plant medicine is the people’s medicine and belongs to all- that it should be accessible. Her core vision is to help others discover ways to easily incorporate the power of plants into their daily ritual & routine. Her approach emphasizes empowered self-care, turning inward & listening to your own wisdom & intuition, and intentionality. She hopes that through the teachings & learnings of plants, we can all develop a more steady & reciprocal connection to our natural world.
