Native to Central America, the Philodendron Monstera Deliciosa, or Split Leaf Monstera, is known for its large glossy leaves that have leaf fenestrations, or holes in the leaves. Looking to grow your indoor jungle? This is the plant for your space!
Many of these smaller & younger plants don't yet have fenestrations but will develop them as they age and grow!
Size: This plant is in a 4'' pot, and from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant, measures from around 10''-14''.
Light: This plant prefers to be in bright, indirect to medium light. Direct sun will be too intense for this plant.
Water: Water when the top 1''-2'' of the soil dries out. It can be susceptible to rot, so please ensure that your soil is well-draining with a pot with a drain hole. The leaves will turn yellow if it is overwatered.
Humidity: This plant would love humidity, but does well with most indoor humidity levels. Please make sure it's not near a heater or cooling vent as that would be too drying.
Temperature: These do well with common indoor home temperatures of 65-85 F.
Soil: Well-draining potting soil
Fertilizing: We recommend fertilizing in its main growing season (Spring-Fall), bimonthly with a houseplant fertilizer.
Flower: Flower is extremely rare when grown indoors.
Toxicity: Toxic to animals & humans if ingested. Please keep this plant out of reach from your fur pals and young children.
