Ceropegia Linearis or 'string of hearts' is a gorgeous heart-shaped vine that looks beautiful cascading from a hanging basket or pot.
Size: This plant is in a 4'' pot.
Light: Bright, indirect light. They can be placed directly in a windowsill, but at certain times of the year (in the heat of summer) the sun may become too intense for them. They prefer similar light to aloe and other succulents.
Water: Water evenly in the Summer, letting their soil dry out about 1''-2'' deep between watering. If this plant is in direct light, the soil can be kept evenly moist but avoiding overwatering as they do store some water in their leaves.
Humidity: This plant does not need humidity but does need ventilation. Make sure it's not "in a corner" but has good air flow around it.
Temperature: They do well in average indoor home temperatures of 60-80 F.
Soil: This plant needs good drainage so mixing a substrate similar to a succulent & cacti mix would work well!
Fertilizing: Fertilize monthly Spring-Summer.
Flower: This plant has small, uniquely shaped pink flowers. Toxicity: Generally, Haworthia are considered to be pet-safe but as always, please take precautions and keep your fur friends away from your plant friends.
Toxicity: String of Hearts are considered pet-safe... but please know that cats would probably find this plant irresistible. We recommend keeping all plants away from fur friends and young children.
