Epipremnum aureum or Golden Pothos is a common houseplant both for its resiliency and care needs. It also looks striking and can really make a statement on a bookshelf, desk, or trailing out of a hanging planter.
Size: This plant is in a 4'' pot, and from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant, measures from around 6.5''-10''. When mature, they can trail and vine as long as 30 feet!
Light: This plant prefers to be in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate areas of less light but but will thrive in brighter light.
Water: Water when the top 1/2'-1'' of the soil dries out. Like other pothos varieties, it can be susceptible to rot, so it doesn't want to sit in water or stay wet long.
Humidity: This plant is native to Thailand and the Philippines and prefers higher humidity so at the very least, please make sure it's not near a heater or cooling vent.
Temperature: These do well with common indoor home temperatures of 55-75 F.
Soil: Pothos plants need well-draining potting soil with a slightly acidic ph.
Fertilizing: Pothos aren't heavy feeders, but we recommend fertilizing in its main growing season (Spring-Fall), bimonthly with a houseplant fertilizer. We prefer our "Green Thumbs" fertilizer but any well-balanced indoor fertilizer will do.
Flower: Does not flower unless treated with a hormone supplement.
Toxicity: Toxic to animals & humans if ingested.
